AIVRT & TCD PI Prof Ed Lavelle chairs the 7th European Congress of Immunology (ECI) in Dublin from Sept 1st-4th 2024. Ed, alongside the Irish Society for Immunology (ISI) and the European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS) is hosting the 7th European Congress of Immunology (ECI) in Dublin at The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD).
The theme of ECI Dublin 2024 is ‘Conquering challenges with Immunology’, and, as we have seen in the context of COVID-19, Immunology has a unique and transformative ability to address global public health problems.
The European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS) is a non-profit umbrella organisation that represents more than 14,000 individual immunologists from 35 immunological societies.
The main goals of EFIS are the support of immunological research and education, as well as strengthening scientific interaction amongst the members with:
supporting young scientists, e.g. through fellowships or travel grants.
supporting congresses and conferences in Europe
