QUB x AIVRT at Balmoral Festival, 2025

The AIVRT QUB team took time out of their busy research schedules to attend the Balmoral Show 2025, representing QUB School of Pharmacy and AIVRT. The Balmoral Show is Northern Ireland's largest agricultural and food event, a four-day festival held in Lisburn each May. Organised by the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society (RUAS) and celebrating local farming, food, and community, the Balmoral Show traditionally welcomes over 120,000 visitors annually over the four days.

Dr Vicky Kett, Fiona Hills, Rebekah Miskimmin, Ewa Aksenczuk, Caitlin Miskelly, and Dr Rachael Bell, all from AIVRT, attended the Balmoral show this year.

The AIVRT x QUB team had fun activities, for the visiting public including:

Match the bacterial culture plate to the household object, & Dress up as a scientist and "inoculate" broth with a "colony" of bacteria
